Hegde Group is one of the well-established business groups in South India. The group is represented by two companies, Hegde Bulk Carriers (HBC) and PHPC Associates (PHPC). HBC and PHPC complement each other’s capabilities in providing the best solutions to customers, and have been major contributors in achieving key milestones of the group.
Hegde Bulk Carriers is one of the most favoured and sought after companies, for the supply and transport of bitumen products across South India. HBC has been serving its customers for nearly two decades, by adapting to the changing bitumen business and by embracing some of the advanced systems and processes, which enable in providing seamless, timely and transparent services to its customers.
PHPC Associates is one of the recent ventures of Hegde Group. Started in the year 2007, it focuses on procurement and delivery of bitumen to the small & medium segment infrastructure companies. PHPC has long-term strategic partnerships with some of the leading refineries and some very well established bitumen import houses in India and the Middle East. This is enabling in designing customised solutions to the customers’ needs and winning reliable partner status with them.
Capability
Hegde Group has always aligned itself with the project demands of its customers. To provide exceptional and uninterrupted service HBC has been continuously monitoring the health of its fleet and upgraded them regularly with modern and large capacity tankers. HBC is one of the most preferred customers for some of the leading Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) brands in India. HBC has a modern fleet of 100 + tankers, with their capacity ranging from 10 MTs to 30 MTs. The 100 + fleet of tankers have been successful in delivering over 20 Lac MTs of bitumen over the years. For timely delivery and better access to customers, multiple branch offices have been set-up across South India. Umesh Hegde, the young entrepreneur started HBC in Mangalore in the year 1994, with a humble background and a single tanker, he had a vision to establish HBC as one of the formidable players in the bitumen business. He is instrumental in making Hegde Group a 350 plus workforce today. Driven by his dream Umesh Hegde has made continuous investments in the group, and in his people, people who believed in his dream, by taking care of all their career and personal goals. He is the founder President of All India Bulk Bitumen Transporters Association (Karnataka Chapter), since its inception and Vice-president of All India Bulk Bitumen Transporters Association.
